I have listed the available date as 1988 it is likely that the disc production date of 1987 is incorrect,as also appears on 1989 and 1990 artwork.

We have two very similar releases, and have decided that the French copy is likely to be of an earlier pressing. The artwork is somewhat sharper , the cue mastering is also somewhat different wit the track clues placed at different intervals.

The material is sourced from vinyl and whilst nice to have on CD when it first appeared it was not long until the material turned up from Master Tapes on The Swingin' Pig's title Live In Paris 1965. Latter all the available material including Intros/Outros was edited together the best of these being The City of Lights on the Internet label Darth Discs ,making both of these releases totally obsolete . Before you say that you only collect factory pressed discs, why not look out the Japanese pressed version .

If you are a label collector I would look for the Italian pressing, despite the lower quality artwork as the Polydor pressing discs of this period have been known to get 'CD ROT' aka 'bronzing , where the aluminium reflective surface breaks down and after all isn't it about the music.

The Italian Pressing was imported into Japan, and received an ANF label Obi and lyric sheet.
