After 17 years this title remains a highly enjoyable disc having lost
it's it's 'Core Status'in 2001 to the Internet trader title
City of Lights on DarthDiscs has had these replaced.
The original of this trader discs was only CDR's , but was latter copied
to a glass mastered disc by the Japanese. For some reason the 910 guides
didn't give this new title core status until their 2004 edition.
Whilst the disc is good there are several errors . Both concerts are
listed as being on the 1st August 1965, which is when they were performing
live on British Television.Additionally what appears to be two complete
concerts quickly turns out to be untrue ,as a starting point the shows
have been swapped and missed labelled.
The Evening Show appears on the disc first, Tracks 1-12 , but has been
shuffled , I use to believe that the source for this show was French Television
because of the unusual track order, eaasy to spot even on a poor video
copy. This may still be the case with Swinging Pig having reintroduced
Ticket To Ride at It's penultimate position because of
the clear break in music prior to the encore.
Additionally as I Feel Fine didn't appear on the TV broadcast
this is not present and has been replaces with the performance form the
afternoon show. Either to hide this they have altered the speed , which
is nearer to the correct speed than that appearing latter on the disc,
alternatively it has been sourced from an alternate location and not noticed.
The Afternoon Show is the second show on the disc , Tracks 13-24 , missing
several intros/between song banter plus Ticket To Ride is missing the
beginning and you will need to look to the release Et Maintennant
Une Chanson (NEW VERSION)
on No Label Records .
Unfortunately many web sites have merely copied the artwork or 910
guides as to track listings and the Concerts dates, and subsequently incorrectly
list one or both.
Even the 910 guides seems to suffer from an element of
this with the track listing being incorrect in both The Beatles
Outtake Part One Fourth Edition and Part Three The Core
Collection Editions.
